Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of retail clerk experience.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perishable stock levels based on store volume using order guides and sales history.
• Train associates in proper presentation, freshness and pricing standards for perishable areas.
• Train associates in proper and safe handling of food to comply with regulations.
• Assist Store Manager in ensuring adequate scheduling coverage.
• Record perishable markdowns and inventory levels; monitor sanitation using the Cleaning Schedule.
