Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the perioperative team as a first, second, or assisting surgical technician or second circulator under RN supervision. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation Bonus Available!

Responsibilities include maintaining asepsis, organizing supplies, communicating with the OR team, documenting patient information, and coordinating tests and patient transport to support efficient surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Applies basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology for perioperative patient care.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sterile technique during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment using aseptic technique.
• Organizes supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Facilitates communication between nursing staff and other departments for tests and procedures.
• Documents patient data and adheres to unit standards.
• Transcribes physician orders and schedules tests and appointments.
• Prepares patients for transportation and assists with transfers.
• Logs admissions, discharges and transfers accurately.
