Qualifications

• Ability to perform sterile prep and maintain asepsis.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and pharmacology for patient care.
• Demonstrates problem-solving related to procedures and supports perioperative team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and assist in selected surgical procedures.
• Organize supplies and equipment to keep department efficient and cost-effective.
• Communicate with nursing staff and other units; liaison between units.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document as required.
• Transcribe orders accurately and schedule tests and appointments.
• Prepare patients for transportation and assist with transfers.
• Maintain logs of admissions and transfers and ensure correct charges.
• Assist with room turnover and instrument cleaning/sterilization.
• Collaborate with surgeons and OR team to prepare trays and instruments.
