Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team as a scrub tech or second circulator under RN supervision. The role requires sterile technique, basic surgical knowledge, and strong teamwork to ensure efficient operating room turnover and patient safety.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology credential, BLS within 30 days, and the ability to scrub independently. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate of Completion with Surgical Technology focus.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and maintains sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and adheres to aseptic principles.
• Coordinates supplies and equipment for efficient operations.
• Facilitates communication between units and nursing staff.
• Documents patient data and orders accurately in records.
• Prepares patients for transport and assists with room turnover.
