Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the perioperative team as the first, second, or assisting technician under RN supervision. The role emphasizes asepsis, patient care, and collaboration with OR staff.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology credential, with BLS within 30 days. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Surgical Technology program completed or credentialed.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and asepsis during procedures.
• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Facilitates communication between units and nursing staff.
• Documents patient data and procedures per standards.
• Transcribes orders and schedules tests and appointments as needed.
• Prepares patients for transport and assists with transfers.
• Keeps accurate log of admissions, discharges, and transfers.
