Qualifications

• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates problem-solving related to procedures.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and pharmacology.
• Knowledge of electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, and lasers in surgery.
• Understands sterile technique and perioperative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment through asepsis.
• Organizes supplies and equipment for efficient operation.
• Facilitates communication between units and nursing staff.
• Documents patient data and orders accurately.
• Schedules appointments and manages patient charts.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient transport.
• Assists with room turnover and instrument readiness.
• Collaborates with surgeons and OR team on trays and supplies.
• Assists with supply ordering and inventory control.
