Job summary

Carle Health is seeking Surgical Technicians to join the Operating Room team. The role involves working as a first, second, or assisting technician under RN supervision, delivering safe intraoperative patient care with a focus on teamwork and flexibility across shifts.

We offer ongoing training, advancement opportunities, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible full-time or part-time roles, plus relocation assistance for moves over 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Experience providing intraoperative patient care as part of the perioperative team.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization processes.
• Ability to collaborate with surgeons, nurses and clinical staff.
• Familiarity with equipment organization and supply management.
• Eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain and clean equipment and identify items needing repair.
• Perform sterilization, disinfection and document loads per policy.
• Apply aseptic principles to maintain sterility during setup and procedure.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport of supplies/equipment.
• Scrub during procedures and provide training to students when applicable.
