Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist in the operating room under the supervision of an RN. The role involves scrubbing on basic procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting perioperative teamwork.

You will collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to prepare trays, instruments, and supplies, while ensuring accurate documentation and patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s degree or Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Scrubbed in on basic surgical procedures and perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Applies asepsis to maintain a sterile environment.
• Organizes supplies and equipment for efficient workflow.
• Facilitates communication between units and nursing staff.
