Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp PACU at our United States facility. You will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, monitor cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological status, and implement perianesthesia care plans.

Responsibilities include managing recovery from anesthesia across general, MAC, regional and local techniques, and ensuring safe patient transfers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with active state licensure.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing and BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement it preop/postop.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia across modalities (general, MAC, regional, local).
• Communicate patient status across perianesthesia continuum and provide pain management.
• Delegate tasks per applicable regulations and ensure patient safety and privacy.

Education
