Job summary

SCA Health-based opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU. The role involves assessing preoperative and postoperative status, managing anesthesia recovery across general, MAC, regional, and local techniques, and developing individualized care plans.

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and recognize changes.
• Describe pathophysiology of diseases and anesthesia techniques.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Prepare for and manage patient recovery from anesthesia (general, MAC, regional, local).
• Provide perianesthesia care including pain management, infection prevention and wound care.
• Document nursing care completely and communicate patient status to the team.
• Collaborate with disciplines and participate in quality improvement projects.
