Job summary

SCA Health in California is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp PACU in our multi-specialty surgery center. This role supports the perianesthesia continuum and patient safety.

Responsibilities include assessing preoperative and postoperative status, interpreting monitors, and implementing individualized care plans. You will collaborate with the anesthesia team and caregivers to ensure smooth recovery and discharge readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Preoperative or PACU experience.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement plan including recovery from anesthesia across all levels (general, MAC, regional, local).
• Provide patient protection, education, and discharge readiness.
