Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across the patient pathway. You will assess patients pre and postoperatively, monitor cardiovascular, respiratory and neurological status, and apply appropriate scores and discharge criteria.

You will develop and implement individualized perianesthesia plans, manage recovery from anesthesia in multiple modalities, and ensure safe medication administration while protecting patient dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice as an RN with good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS (and PALS if pediatric care is included) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe disease physiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan during recovery from anesthesia for various techniques.
• Communicate patient status to the perianesthesia team and provide education.
