Job summary

SCA Health is actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PreOp PACU to assess and manage patients’ perioperative status. You will implement perianesthesia care plans, monitor recovery, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality outcomes.

Requirements include RN licensure, 1 year of PreOperative or PACU experience, ACLS (and PALS if applicable), and medical/surgical nursing background. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• Successful completion of ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Successful completion of PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and manage patient care plans.
• Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia plans of care.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia and ensure patient safety.
• Provide hand‑off reports to team members with concise, pertinent information.
• Document nursing care completely and accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement.
