Job summary

SCA Health in the United States is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across our facilities. The role focuses on preoperative assessment, anesthesia readiness, and safe recovery planning for patients.

You will work under hospital policies, monitor vital signs, manage pain, and collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to ensure efficient hand-offs and high-quality perioperative outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing.
• ACLS certification within 90 days; BLS/BCLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatrics involved.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying physiology.
• Develop and implement a perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide hand-off reports to teammates with accurate condition updates.
• Perform all duties with patient safety, privacy and quality in mind.
