Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice; BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications; PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and values of SCA Health.
• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy and procedures.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe relevant physiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide safe medication administration and patient education.
• Transfer care and provide concise hand-off reports.
• Collaborate with disciplines and participate in quality improvement.
