Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.
• BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS if pediatric care is within scope.

Aufgaben

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret monitors and manage airway, vitals, pain.
• Develop perianesthesia care plan and implement interventions.
• Prepare for and manage recovery from anesthesia (various techniques).
• Provide patient education and communicate status during handoffs.
• Maintain wound integrity and prevent infection; ensure safety.
