Qualifications

• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing; BLS/BCLS within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policies (cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, hemodynamic, pain, mental status).
• Interpret information from monitors.
• Describe pathophysiology of disease processes.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia and coordinate transfers per policy.
