Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (RN).
• One year of Preoperative or PACU experience preferred.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing; BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status at intervals per policy.
• Interpret monitors and vital signs to guide care.
• Manage patient recovery from anesthesia and PACU care.
• Apply appropriate discharge criteria and planning per protocol.
• Provide pain management and maintain wound and tissue integrity.
• Communicate updates to the care team and family as needed.
• Ensure safety, privacy, and dignity of the patient throughout care.
