Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice.
• BLS/BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic checks.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of disease processes.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care and implement perioperative interventions.
• Provide hand-off reports, educate patients and families, and ensure patient rights and privacy.
• Perform all duties as assigned and participate in quality improvement.
