Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for PreOp and PACU to join our perioperative team. The RN will assess patients pre- and post-anesthesia, monitor vitals, and help ensure smooth recovery in a high-volume ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include developing an individualized plan of care, administering medications safely, and coordinating hand-offs with surgical staff to maintain patient safety. A nursing license and perioperative certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in PreOp or PACU.
• Strong nursing assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable to perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per facility policies (cardiovascular, respiratory, neuro, hemodynamics, pain).
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying disease physiology.
• Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans.
• Administer medications safely and support anesthesia recovery.
• Provide clear hand-off reports and collaborate with perioperative teams.
• Document care thoroughly and protect patient privacy and rights.
