Job summary

Bluebeam, Inc. seeks a Principal Performance Automation Engineer to set the technical direction for load and performance testing across the product portfolio. You will own performance strategy, architecture, and tooling, and mentor engineers to elevate the discipline.

Expect collaboration with engineering, DevOps, product, and leadership to shape capacity planning and release decisions. You will define benchmarks, SLOs, and automated validation in CI/CD, building scalable observability platforms

Qualifications

• 10+ years in performance/automation or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS and cost-aware test design.
• Expert understanding of distributed systems and capacity planning.
• Proficiency in coding for test suites and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term performance testing strategy and roadmaps.
• Lead technical direction and mentor performance engineers.
• Architect frameworks and environments for realistic production load.
• Conduct deep diagnostics on bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability.
• Establish benchmarks, SLOs, and CI/CD governance for performance validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, product, and leadership to influence decisions.
• Evaluate and own performance tooling and observability platforms.
• Produce data-driven reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
