Job summary

Foundation Software in Strongsville, OH is seeking a Sr. Performance Engineer to strengthen the performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications.

You will design and run performance tests, analyze results, and partner with development and operations to optimize systems end-to-end. You will leverage tools like JMeter, Azure Load Testing, Dynatrace, LoadRunner and Gatling, mentor teams on best practices, and help integrate performance testing into Agile sprints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years in performance testing and engineering.
• Experience with JMeter, Azure Load Testing, Dynatrace, LoadRunner or Gatling.
• Strong understanding of response time, throughput, latency.
• Programming or scripting in Java, Python, or C# for test automation.
• Knowledge of web servers, databases, and networks and how they impact performance.
• Agile experience and sprint integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute performance tests to evaluate scalability and reliability.
• Define performance testing requirements with stakeholders based on specs.
• Analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with development and operations to optimize performance.

• Generate and present detailed performance reports to stakeholders.
