Qualifications

• 12+ years in industry with progressive growth in responsibility.
• 4+ years technical leadership and managing teams of 6 or more engineers.
• Experience leading customer-facing web applications or teams building such apps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and emotional intelligence; builds trust and alignment.
• Growth-minded, resilient leader who embraces change and learns quickly.
• Proven ability to lead teams to predictable delivery using Agile.
• Ability to influence architecture and guide senior engineers toward outcomes.
• Experience scaling engineering productivity practices and AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience managing technical debt strategically and balancing delivery with health.
• Ability to foster AI/automation use across teams to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Leads team(s) throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Recruits, mentors, coaches, retains, inspires engineering ICs and tech leads.
• Sets and tracks goals and objectives for each team member.
• Participates in expense approval and budget planning.
• Solves problems and clears roadblocks crossing technical and human factors.
• Leads stakeholder meetings to present facts for quality decisions.
• Communicates clearly and provides 360-degree clarity.
• Collaborates with architects, tech leads, PMs, engineers, and QA to deliver excellence.
• Participates in engineering on-call rotation.
