Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled services in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed PT.

In this role you will implement treatment plans to improve mobility, balance and independence, document responses, and coordinate with the care team to support recovery and safe discharge. CPR certification and CAPTE-accredited PTA education are required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program as per CAPTE.
• One year PTA experience in home health or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of a PT.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment.
• Maintains patient records with supervisory activities.
• Participates in care conferences, chart audits and quality improvement activities.
• Promotes wellness and coordinates follow-up care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
