Job summary

Optum's Pewaukee campus is seeking a Per Diem Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support the emergency department, admitting, switchboard and information desk. This role focuses on patient registration, financial counseling coordination and delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, updating demographics and collecting liabilities, while collaborating with care teams to ensure accurate, timely patient encounters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience in an office or professional setting.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work 1st and 2nd shifts, plus at least 1 weekend per month and 2 holidays per year.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and patients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Register patients by updating demographics and financial information.
• Obtain and file required forms with signatures; photocopy documents as needed.
• Provide financial responsibility information and collect patient liabilities; balance cash daily.
