Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Patient Access Coordinator to ensure complete and accurate medical registration and billing information. You will support clinical staff in a fast-paced central treatment area and perform full registration while collecting demographic, financial, and visit-specific data.

The role requires strong multitasking, flexible coverage and a minimum of a high school diploma. Per diem 16 hours weekly with opportunities to cover in Admitting or ED as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years registration experience or 3 years customer service.
• Basic computer skills including MS Outlook and Epic familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensures data integrity for patient demographic, insurance and admission information.
• Verifies patient insurance using various methods.
• Applies payer requirements to support effective reimbursement.
• Covers in Admitting or Emergency Department as needed in rotation.
• Collects insurance copays and documents in the patient account.
