Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an ED Patient Access Representative to register patients in the Emergency Department, verify insurance, and collect co-pays. The role supports ED staff and ensures accurate demographic and financial data in the hospital system while working in a fast-paced environment.

The part-time schedule includes Saturday and Sunday shifts (7a-7:30p). A High School Diploma or GED is required, with 0–2 years hospital experience or 3+ years customer service experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years hospital registration or 3+ years customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual candidates and healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure data integrity for patient demographic, insurance, and admission information.
• Verify patient insurance and understand payer requirements to aid reimbursement.
• Attend department meetings and participate in coverage rotations.
• Handle multitasking in a fast-paced ED environment and provide reliable support.
