Job summary

Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Per Diem Customer Service Liaison to greet patients, collect demographics, insurance data, and regulatory forms, and guide them through the registration and discharge processes.

The role interfaces with Scheduling, Pre certification, Care Management, Billing and Medical Records to ensure accurate revenue data entry and compliant patient information, while delivering superior service under Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school graduate; some college preferred.
• Minimum experience: 2-4 years in health care with registration/check-in.
• Insurance knowledge preferred; ability to multi-task and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service to internal and external clients and patients.
• Obtains accurate patient information and enters it into the Meditech system; verifies demographics and insurance details.
• Obtains regulatory data including HIPAA notices, advance directives, and patient signatures.
• Checks quality of own registrations daily and maintains accurate revenue logs.
• Assigns beds and manages admission transfers and death procedures when required.
• Answers phones promptly and supports multiple hospital departments in registration.
