Job summary

Hawthorne Health is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to join a per diem, independent contractor role. You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform in-home cardiac and vascular imaging studies, with per-visit compensation and reimbursement for travel expenses such as mileage, airfare, hotel, and rental car.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g. RDCS or RVT/RVS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech-savvy
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
• Time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or regionally to patient homes for imaging visits
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments
• Maintain ASE-standard high-quality imaging
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
