Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled home health care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help patients improve mobility and independence in the home setting.

Required qualifications include a current PTA license for the assigned state, CAPTE-accredited PTA education, CPR certification, and at least one year of home health experience (mentoring option applicable for less than one year).

Qualificações

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant educational program as set by CAPTE.
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTAs entering home health care or regional mentoring approval for less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilidades

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist and in accordance with the physician approved plan of care.
• Observe, record and report patient responses to treatment and any condition changes to the supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Document supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record and maintain confidentiality of information.
• Monitor and document the patient’s response to physical therapy interventions.
• Participate in patient care conferences, in-services, chart audits and quality improvement activities.
• Make recommendations for follow-up care in coordination with the admitting agency.
