Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled care in patients' homes under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will implement individualized treatment plans that improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence while promoting safety in the home setting.

Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, coordinating with caregivers and the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring high-quality care.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program as set by CAPTE.
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the state you’re assigned to work in.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of related physical therapy experience for PTAs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required and mentoring / residency program participation may be needed.
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Provides physical therapy services and interventions under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and any changes to the supervising PT and staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and documentation.
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
