Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to provide skilled home health services under a licensed PT. You will implement treatment plans and support recovery in patients' homes.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with care teams, and ensuring safety. Compensation includes per visit point pay and hourly pay, with a full benefits package available to eligible staff.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited PTA program as set by CAPTE.
• Current license to practice as a PTA, specific to the state.
• Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• One year related PTA experience for home health is preferred; regional leaders' approval may be required for less than one year.

• Provides physical therapy services under the direction of a PT and within the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient response and changes to the PT and staff.
• Promotes wellness, prevention, and resources for future needs.
• Documents supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Monitors and documents response to PT intervention.
• Participates in care conferences, training, audits, and peer-review activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinates follow-up care with the admitting agency and other providers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
