Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to perform in-home imaging visits on a per-visit basis. This is a per diem, 1099 independent contractor role with regional travel to patient homes.

You will transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment, obtain informed cooperation, perform echocardiograms and vascular studies, and submit a preliminary report.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac imaging (RDCS or RCS) and vascular imaging (RVT or RVS).
• BLS certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech-savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Willingness to travel regionally/local travel should be expected.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits, volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participant.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
