Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeks dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for a per diem, independent contractor role. You will travel regionally to patient homes to perform in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, paid on a per-visit basis.

Responsibilities include transporting and setting up portable ultrasound equipment, obtaining informed cooperation, performing echocardiograms and vascular studies, and preparing preliminary reports while maintaining

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS/RVT/RVS) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel regionally and work independently in homes.

Responsibilities

• Travel to patient homes to conduct visits; volume varies by region.
• Set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol imaging guidelines.
• Label images correctly for cardiology review.
• Prepare preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
