Job summary

Hawthorne Health, Inc. is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to work per diem as independent contractors.

You will travel regionally to patient homes to conduct in-home cardiac and vascular imaging visits, with per-visit compensation and travel reimbursements. Rate structure is per visit; you may encounter mileage, airfare, and hotel accommodations reimbursed on a per-visit basis, with privacy and HIPAA compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (RDCS or RVT/RCS via ARDMS/CCI).
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech-savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic field-based environments.
• Time management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits; volume varies by region.
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and proper labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and sonographer comments.
• Maintain high-quality standards consistent with ASE Standards.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment.
