Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Merger Integration & Carve-outs (MI&C) to join its MI&C team. You will lead integration workstreams, blueprinting, and Day 1 Readiness for PE clients and portfolio companies, delivering value across merger and carve-out programs.

The role demands 5-8+ years in consulting, strong leadership, and a willingness to travel up to 75% to support major deals. MBA preferred and excellent communication required.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience in integration planning and divestitures a plus.
• Experience in leading one or more work streams in a business transformation.
• MBA preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying client issues and developing recommendations for engagement success.
• Lead workstreams or areas within IMO – Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, and more.
• Direct large, complex engagements that design and implement business and technology solutions for PE clients and portfolio companies.
• Lead Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement in key areas such as strategic planning, operations, back office, and IT integration.
• Track progress against objectives and adjust strategies as required.
• Collaborate across industry groups to broaden experience and impact.
