Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager in the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice with expertise in merger integration and carve-outs. You will work across the deal lifecycle—from pre-deal diligence to Day 1 readiness and post‑close execution—leading workstreams and delivering value to PE clients and their portfolio companies.

The role requires 5–8+ years in consulting, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 75% of the time, with MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration, business transformation, and change management.
• Experience leading one or more workstreams in business transformation.
• Flexibility to travel at least 75% of the time.
• MBA preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs, and delivering recommendations within the overall engagement.
• Depending on deal size, lead workstreams or a focus area within the Integration Management Office (IMO) – e.g., Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, and Organizational Design.
• Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for PE clients and their portfolio companies.
• Plan, execute, and drive performance improvement for Day 1 and Day 100 objectives, including strategic planning, operational optimization, back‑office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, and customer/channel management.
• Actively drive performance improvement assessments across the enterprise and oversee implementation of recommendations.
• Track progress against Day 1 and Day 100 objectives and adjust integration strategies or personnel as required.
