Job summary

Metropolis is seeking a Manager, People Solutions to oversee the execution, coordination, and ongoing optimization of our Central People Operations function. Reporting to the Director, People Operations, you will drive team performance, automate workflows, and resolve complex transactional escalations.

You will lead and mentor a team of Coordinators, build analytics, and partner with Payroll, HR, Legal, Risk, and Field Leadership to support rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in People Operations or HR Operations with direct supervision experience.
• Experience partnering with Payroll, HR, Legal, Benefits, and Field Leadership on complex transactions and escalations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Hands-on expertise with enterprise HRIS platforms (Workday, UKG, ADP).
• Proven ability to own results, set expectations, and deliver commitments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution, coordination, and ongoing optimization of the Central People Operations function.
• Lead and mentor a team of People Solutions Coordinators; drive performance against daily delivery objectives.
• Automate workflows and lead AI initiatives to speed turnaround times and improve efficiency.
• Maintain SOPs and ensure accurate HRIS data across the employee lifecycle.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex employee transactional issues; drive durable resolutions.
• Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, Legal, Risk, and Field Leadership on priorities and handoffs.
• Provide regular performance reporting and actionable operational insights to leadership.
• Foster an inclusive, transparent culture and implement feedback systems to elevate team performance.
• Lead medium-to-large projects end-to-end and establish cross-training to avoid single points of failure.
