Jerry.ai seeks an HR Operations leader to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits escalations. You’ll work hands-on in a small, fast-paced team and shape HR processes with an AI-first approach, delivering precise guidance and scalable solutions.

You will own the annual compliance audit, update the handbook, and mentor the Payroll/HR Admin team. This role blends compliance rigor with practical payroll and benefits execution in a growing remote-first company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience, with hands-on policy drafting, payroll entry, and compliance filing.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team handling payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsabilités

• Multi-state compliance: track state-by-state law changes, draft policy updates, and implement across classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh in your first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions requiring experience.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
