Jerry.ai is seeking an HR Operations leader to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits inquiries. You’ll influence AI integration in HR ops and guide day-to-day operations with in-house hands-on experience. This role suits a proactive generalist in a fast-growing startup.

You will shape policies, manage escalations, and collaborate with a small, high-energy team to ensure smooth HR operations across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team where you touch payroll, benefits, and compliance yourself.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Multi-state compliance: tracking state-by-state law changes and drafting policy updates across classifications and pay ranges.
• Lead the annual compliance audit and handbook refresh within first 90 days.
• Escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions needing experienced judgment.
• Reviewing and unblocking work of Payroll and HR Administration teams.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset.
