Job summary

Jerry.ai is hiring a hands-on HR Operations Lead to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll/benefits escalations. You’ll shape the handbook refresh and audit, guiding the HR Admin team with practical judgment.

You’ll also steer how AI fits into HR ops, reducing busywork and enabling focus on high-impact decisions. Join a small, fast-moving team driving growth with integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of real, hands-on HR generalist experience; you’ve drafted policy, processed payroll, handled compliance filings.
• Genuine in-house, multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team where you touch payroll, benefits, and compliance yourself.
• Excited to build with AI in HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance, track state-by-state changes and implement policy updates.
• Lead annual compliance audit and handbook refresh start to finish (first 90 days).
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits and leave questions requiring seasoned judgment.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration team members.
• Rearchitect HR ops processes with an AI-native mindset and evolve day-to-day operations.
