Job summary

Jerry.ai is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to own multi-state compliance, policy drafting, and payroll questions.

You'll partner with a small, fast-moving team to rewrite processes with an AI-native mindset and scale HR operations as the company grows across states. This is a full-time, salaried role based in the United States, with remote options.

You’ll lead the annual compliance audit, update the handbook, and mentor teammates as the Payroll and HR Administration teams expand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands-on HR generalist experience.
• In-house multi-state compliance experience.
• Comfortable in a small, high-intensity team handling payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Excited to build with AI.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-state compliance and policy updates.
• Lead annual compliance audits and handbook refresh in first 90 days.
• Handle escalated payroll, benefits, and leave questions.
• Review and unblock work of Payroll and HR Administration teams.
• Reimagine HR ops processes with AI-driven approaches.
• Progress to day-to-day HR operations ownership over time.
