GC AI is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to keep our People function running accurately during rapid growth. You will own employee records, HRIS data, PTO administration, and I-9 compliance, including onboarding and first-day logistics.

This builder's role involves standing up new systems, processes, and operating rhythms. You will be a go-to resource for policy questions, run audits, and support engagement efforts as the team scales.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR, People Operations, or HR coordination experience, preferably in a startup environment.
• Experience using an HRIS and managing confidential employee records.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
• Administer PTO requests and balances under company policy, resolving discrepancies and coordinating with employees and managers.
• Manage Form I-9 verification and related compliance documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding, including documentation, system access, orientation, and first-day logistics.
• Support employee offboarding and exit procedures.
• Respond to routine employee questions about HR policies, benefits, and People processes.
• Conduct periodic HRIS and personnel-file audits and prepare basic workforce reports.
• Assist with employee engagement programs and People Operations initiatives.
• Improve and automate HR workflows using AI and other tools.
• Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality.
