Job summary

Dynamic Creatures, Cambridge, MA, seeks a hands-on People Operations Specialist to run the day-to-day HR engine, including onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee support. This in-person role emphasizes clean data, compliant files, and ensuring new hires feel cared for from day one.

You will own I-9/E-Verify, maintain audit-ready files, and support immigration casework with outside counsel while serving as the first contact for benefits, pay, PTO, and HR policies.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in People Operations, HR administration, or HR coordination.
• Hands-on experience with I-9/E-Verify and employee recordkeeping.
• HRIS experience with strong data-entry accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Run onboarding start to finish for hourly new hires — offer handoffs, background checks, paperwork, orientation, badges/equipment, day-one readiness.
• Own I-9/E-Verify completion and reverification, and keep files audit-ready at all times.
• Handle offboarding, including final pay timing, system deactivations, and exit paperwork.
• Keep employee records and personnel files accurate and confidential across the company.
• Process HRIS transactions (new hires, changes, terminations) with a high bar for accuracy.
• Prepare employment verifications and required documentation.
• Be a first point of contact for HR questions — benefits, pay, PTO, policies, onboarding, all of it.
• Support day‑to‑day immigration casework with outside counsel — document collection, case tracking, key dates like visa expirations and reverifications
