Job summary

GC AI, a leading legal-tech company, is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to maintain employee records and HRIS data, manage PTO and I-9 compliance, and guide onboarding and offboarding processes. You will partner with teams across the organization to ensure data accuracy, policy compliance, and a smooth employee experience.

You’ll build scalable workflows, audit personnel files, and respond to routine HR questions while leveraging AI tools to automate tasks.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR, People Operations, or HR coordination experience
• Experience using an HRIS and managing confidential employee records
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and sound judgment
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.
• Administer PTO requests and balances under company policy, resolving discrepancies and coordinating with employees and managers.
• Manage Form I-9 verification and related compliance documentation.
• Coordinate onboarding, including documentation, system access, orientation, and first-day logistics.
• Support employee offboarding and exit procedures.
• Respond to routine employee questions about HR policies, benefits, and People processes.
• Conduct periodic HRIS and personnel-file audits and prepare basic workforce reports.
• Assist with employee engagement programs and People Operations initiatives.
• Improve and automate HR workflows using AI and other tools.
• Handle sensitive employee information with strict confidentiality.
