Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the friendly face customers rely on when they visit the store. You will provide product info, generate quotes, and process purchases while guiding customers through their projects.

You will also qualify new leads, follow up on online quotes, and support the outside sales team. Training is provided; commission-based compensation is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers walking into the store with product information and advice.
• Share product details, provide estimates for packages and projects, and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads with cold calls.
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory control and cycle counts.
• Resolve overages and shortages to help keep inventory accurate.
