Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the face of the store and the primary contact for customers. You will share product information, advise on project needs, generate estimates for packages and projects, and process transactions.

You will also follow up on online quotes, qualify new leads through cold calls, support Outside Sales Reps, and help with inventory control. Salary plus commission drives unlimited earning potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to ensure sales and profit goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in-store and share product information.
• Provide advice on project needs and produce estimates for packages/projects.
• Process transactions and follow up on online customer quotes.
• Cold call to qualify new leads and support Outside Sales Reps as needed.
• Assist in inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving shortages/overages.
