Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and product guidance. You will generate estimates, process sales, and follow up on online quotes while supporting outside sales and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Commission-based pay with no cap on earnings, and opportunities for growth within a family-owned company with a long history in the industry.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not required.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to meet sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers who walk in the store and provide product information.
• Offer advice on project needs and prepare estimates for packages/projects.
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes.
• Cold call to qualify new leads and support Outside Sales Reps as needed.
• Help with inventory control by conducting cycle counts and resolving discrepancies.
