Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and expert product guidance. You will assist customers, provide estimates, process sales, and follow up on quotes while supporting the Outside Sales team and helping with inventory control.

Salary plus commission with uncapped earnings, and growth opportunities within a family-owned business established in 1932. Training on products and POS system is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with customer focus.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store with product information and project needs.
• Provide advice and estimates for packages and projects.
• Process transactions and follow up on online quotes.
• Qualify new leads via cold calling.
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist inventory control.
• Complete training on products and POS system.
