Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Inside Sales Rep who will be the face of the store, delivering friendly customer service and product guidance. You will provide quotes, help with project needs, and process transactions while supporting the sales team and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Training is provided to learn products and the POS system; compensation includes salary plus commission with uncapped earnings potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or customer service is required.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful, but not required.
• Team player who can help meet sales and profit goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store with product information and advice.
• Produce estimates for packages/projects and process transactions.
• Follow up on online quotes and qualify new leads via cold calls.
• Support Outside Sales Reps and assist in inventory control (cycle counts, shortages/overages).
